Wally Reed Chavis, 44, of Detroit, Mich., died Nov. 17, 2009, at Southeastern

Regional Medical Center.

A memorial will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Living Waters Ministries in

Lumberton, Minister Jason Chavis officiating.

Surviving are his wife, Peggy Chavis of the home; a son, James Gregory

of Lexington; a sister, Carlene Chavis of Lumberton; his mother, Della

Mae Carter of Lumberton; a daughter, Angel Parker of Lumberton; two

brothers, Vincent Chavis and Jason Chavis, both of Lumberton; and six

grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home, 892 Rice Road, Lot 34, Lumberton.
