Ida Gunter Bennett, 86, of Pleasant Garden, formerly of Laurinburg, died Nov. 18, 2009, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Bright Hopewell Baptist Church in Laurinburg, the Rev. Garland Pierce officiating.

Burial will follow in Stewartsville Cemetery in Laurinburg.

Surviving are three sons, Jimmy Bennett of Laurel Hill, Calvin Bennett of Morganton, Phillip Bennett of Norfolk, Va., seven daughters, Dorothy Brown of Pomona, N.Y., Delores Bennett of Greensboro, Evelyn Moore of Chesapeake, Va., Ida Livingston of Raeford, Shirley Cassell of Pleasant Garden, Eva Moore of Laurinburg and Christine Bennett of Greensboro; two brothers, Alexander Gunter of Laurinburg and David Gunter of Fayetteville; and two sisters, Claudia McCoy and Nellie Smith, both of Laurinburg.

The visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Jackson Funeral Chapel in Laurinburg.
