LUMBERTON — The July 29 deadline for The Robesonian’s Cutest Kid Contest is closing in.

The annual contest gives proud parents, grandparents and legal guardians the chance to show off their children ages 12 years and younger. If you think your child is adorable enough to enter the arena, upload the cutest photo you can find to our online image gallery. Click here to get started.

Readers will cast their ballots in the gallery, and the contestant with the most votes will win a $100 cash prize courtesy of the competition’s longtime sponsor, Cottonwood Pre-Elementary School.

Founded in 1998, Cottonwood provides “a child-centered environment which nurtures the emotional, physical and social growth” of its students, according to the school’s mission statement.

The Cutest Kid Contest is free to enter and there is no charge to vote. The deadline to submit images and vote is July 29. But the sooner you get your pictures in, the more likely your child is to be crowned the cutest.

“It’s better to submit a picture early because it gives your child more time to collect votes,” said Robin Walker, regional media director for Civitas Media. “Images that are uploaded earliest stand a better chance of winning the grand prize.”

Adalyn Davis, of Maxton, won last year’s Cutest Kids contest with 2,800 votes.
