FAIRMONT — Six queens will be crowned at the Fairmont Farmers Festival Scholarship Pageant on Saturday.
The pageant rings in the annual Farmers Festival, which will be held on Oct. 15 in downtown Fairmont.
Pageant winners will be named in the categories of Wee, Little, Tiny, Junior, Teen and Miss.
The pageant will be held at 2 p.m. in the E.R. Gause Auditorium at Rosenwald Elementary School in Fairmont.
Admission is $8 for ages 13 and up, $5 for ages 3 to 12 and free for ages 2 and under. The pageant program book is $5.
The festival kicks off on Oct. 15 with a parade at 10 a.m. featuring Grand Marshal Michael Baker, Shriner groups and plenty of pageant queens. Following a day of activities, the festival will conclude with a performance by the Classic Soul Band featuring Terri Gore from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Fairmont Golf Course.
