Dr. Endara-Bravo to talk

about sleep apnea at Biggs

LUMBERTON — Enjoy a healthy breakfast and learn about sleep apnea at the Breakfast at Biggs speaker series on Tuesday.

Dr. Andres Santiago Endara-Bravo will speak about the the common disorder and its diagnosis and treatment processes from 8 to 9 a.m. in the retail space beside JCPenny.

Hospice volunteer training

set to begin in September

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Hospice will host a training course for new volunteers interested in assisting hospice patients and their families in homes or at Southeastern Hospice House.

Attendees are required to attend all sessions, which will be held Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Sept. 10 to 24, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The training will be held at Southeastern Hospice House at 1100 Pine Run Drive in Lumberton. Volunteers must consent to a background check and TB skin test paid for by the agency.

Adult bereavement group

supports the grief stricken

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Hospice will host an Adult Bereavement Support Group for adults experiencing grief due to the loss of loved one through death.

The support group is open to the public and will meet starting on Sept. 10 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for four consecutive Thursdays, ending on Oct. 1. Meetings will be held in the conference room at Southeastern Hospice House at 1100 Pine Run Drive in Lumberton.
