LUMBERTON — A urologist with Southeastern Health will discuss bladder cancer during a Breakfast at Biggs event on Tuesday.
Dr. Mike Popovic will present a program on the signs, symptoms and treatment for bladder cancer. The discussion will begin at 8 a.m. in the Community Health Education Center beside Shoe Show in Biggs Park Mall.

Red Cross holds upcoming
blood drives in Lumberton
LUMBERTON — The Red Cross is holding two upcoming blood drives in Lumberton.
The first will be April 7 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the student center at Robeson Community College, 5160 Fayetteville Road. The second will be April 14 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the first assembly room at Southeastern Health, 300 W. 27th St.

seminar April 6 at mall
LUMBERTON — Dr. Eric Velazquez will host a seminar on a variety of weight-loss surgery options, including adjustable gastric band, sleeve gastrectomy, and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, on April 6 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Southeastern Weight Loss Center, located within the Southeastern Health Mall on the campus of Biggs Park Mall.

WoodHaven hosts April 19
open house, ribbon cutting
LUMBERTON — Southeastern Health will host an open house, ribbon cutting and garden party on the grounds of WoodHaven Nursing, Alzheimer’s and Rehabilitation Center on April 19 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The event will mark the opening of the Southeastern Rehabilitation WoodHaven short-term rehab wing as well as WoodHaven’s Garden Path to Healing garden on the grounds. The garden party will include of live music, tea and lemonade.
