LUMBERTON — Suzanne Jackson was recently named director of care management for Southeastern Health.

Jackson is responsible for management of discharge planning and care coordination throughout the health system. She has served as Southeastern Health’s interim care management director since November. Before that, she was the manager for the care management department.

Jackson received an associate’s degree in Nursing from Robeson Community College in 1999 and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2009. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Nursing and Health Care Administration from Liberty University.

She was an operating room nurse at Southeastern Regional Medical Center from 1999 to 2006 and an operating room nurse at Duke University from 2006 to 2009. She also served as director of nursing for Golden Living Nursing Center for five years before returning to Southeastern Health.

Jackson lives in St. Pauls with her husband Derek, and son, Tanner.
