LUMBERTON — Southeastern Health will open a new, same-day clinic within Lumberton Drug’s Fayetteville Road location today.

The Clinic at Lumberton Drug will offer treatment for common health ailments with no appointment necessary weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Lisa Campbell, a family nurse practitioner and Lumberton resident who provided care at The Clinic at Walmart for more than three years, will be the main provider.

“We are excited to bring walk-in health care to the community at Lumberton Drug, a highly visible location which will enable our patients to fill any prescriptions they may need very conveniently,” said Fordham Britt, director of Southeastern Health’s primary care services.

Treatment will be offered for acne, flu, bladder infections, blood sugar testing, camp and school physicals, cholesterol screening, common vaccinations, earaches, insect bites and stings, minor wounds, sinus infections and other minor conditions.

“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Southeastern Health to provide patients with a higher level of care,” said Jason Foil, owner of Lumberton Drug. “Today, pharmacists and physicians have to work hand-in-hand to make sure patients not only get treated for what’s bothering them today, but stay healthy through preventative care.”

A grand opening and ribbon cutting with the Lumberton Area Chamber of Commerce is set for May 31 at 5 p.m.
