Pembroke men’s health event

PEMBROKE — The annual Men’s Health Event sponsored by Scotland Memorial Foundation is scheduled for June 23 at 5:45 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club in Pembroke.

The event will include dinner and a discussion on health topics. Free prostate cancer and cholesterol screenings are offered on June 11 as part of the Men’s Health Event at Pembroke Family Practice Center.

holds local blood drives

LUMBERTON — The Red Cross is holding three blood drives in Robeson County during June.

The following are the times and locations: Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at United Pentecostal Church, located at 1011 Carthage Road in Lumberton; June 25 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Walmart in Lumberton; and June 28 from 1:30 to 6 p.m. at the the University Center at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
