Free dental services

offered in October

FAYETTEVILLE — North Carolina Missions of Mercy will hold a free dental clinic in Fayetteville for low-income adults with no dental insurance.

The following services will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis: extractions; fillings; teeth cleaning; partial denture construction for front teeth only; and full denture repair.

The clinic will be held Oct. 28 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Oct. 29 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Crown Arena at 1960 Coliseum Drive.

Prostate cancer screens

offered through Thursday

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Health’s Community Health Services department is offering free prostate cancer screenings to qualified men through Thursday.

To qualify, men ages 55 to 69 must not have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, have not had a PSA within the past year or be currently under the care of a urologist. Men 40 to 54 must meet those requirements and also be a minority or have a family history of prostate cancer.

Locations vary. Pre-registration is required by calling 1-844-735-8864.
