SPRING LAKE (AP) — A worker has been electrocuted while trying to reconnect a transformer at a site in Harnett County.

Multiple media outlets reported that the incident occurred shortly before noon Thursday in Spring Lake as crews were moving power lines.

The man came in contact with a 7,200-volt line. The employee’s name has not been released.

The state Labor Department is trying to determine what happened. Spokeswoman Dolores Quesenberry said such investigations usually take several months.
