LUMBERTON — The Lumberton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who recently stole rings from McNeill’s Jewelry Store.

The Biggs Park Mall location of the jewelry store was robbed on July 24.

According to a statement from the Police Department, one of the men distracted a salesperson while the other grabbed a tray of rings from a display case, placing them in a plastic shopping bag. The man spoke to a salesperson briefly before leaving the store, the statement said.

One of the men is described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. During the robbery, he was wearing a gray or tan T-shirt, red basketball shorts and a black ball cap and had burn scars on his lower arms.

The second man is black, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a blue, short-sleeved button-up shirt, blue jeans and a red and blue ball cap and may wear glasses.
