PEMBROKE — The Pembroke Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed the Walmart in Pembroke last week.

The robber stole $1,370 from a Walmart cashier at about 9 p.m. on Thursday, according to Pembroke police Detective Todd Harris.

Harris said the man did not present a weapon and no injuries were reported. His photograph, captured by a surveillance camera, is being circulated on the Pembroke Police Department’s Facebook page.

The robber is described as a slim American Indian or white male. He was wearing a hat and a burgundy shirt at the time of the theft, but no additional information about his description was available Tuesday.

Anyone with information can call Harris at the Pembroke Police Department at 910-521-4333.
