LUMBERTON — A Pembroke woman was killed Wednesday when the vehicle she was riding in crossed the center-line on N.C. 211, striking an oncoming car, according to the state Highway Patrol.

Ginger Ann Locklear, 41, of George and Molly Drive, died at the scene of the wreck, about two miles west of Lumberton, near Mount Olive Church Road.

According to a report by Trooper R. Smith, the accident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. when a Ford pickup truck operated by Anthony Hunt crossed the center-line of the highway, colliding at an angle with a Toyota pickup truck driven by Keenan Eric Locklear.

Ginger Locklear was a passenger in Hunt’s vehicle. Hunt, 50, was charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and driving left of center.

The report lists the same address for Ginger Locklear and Hunt.

Hunt and Keenan Locklear, 56, of Prospect Road in Pembroke, were both injured. Their conditions were not available Thursday morning.
