Senate Democrats holding town hall meeting in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE — Senate Democrats are holding a town hall meeting in Fayetteville on Aug. 25.

The event will include Senate leader Dan Blue, who represents Wake County; Sen. Ben Clark, Democratic Caucus secretary who represents Cumberland and Hoke counties; and Sen. Jane Smith, who is from Lumberton and represents Robeson and Columbus counties.

During the town hall meeting, the senators will discuss support for veterans, the economy and education, and hear from their constituents. They will also tour the new VA Medical Center and meet with local media for a press conference.

The public is invited to the meeting to share concerns and ideas. The town hall meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the John D. Fuller Recreation Center at 6627 Old Bunce Road in Fayetteville.
