3 men rob Dollar General in Lumberton

Staff Report

LUMBERTON — Three masked men, including at least one who brandished a weapon, robbed a Dollar General late Wednesday night, according to a police report.

The robbery occurred at about 9:50 p.m. at the Dollar General on Martin Luther King Drive.

Lumberton police Capt. Terry Parker said the three men had their faces covered when they entered the store, drew at least one handgun and took an unknown amount of cash. Five people were in the store at the time, Parker said, but no one was injured.

There were no descriptions of the men available this afternoon beyond their races. The Robesonian does not use race as an identifying factor unless there is additional descriptive information that would make an ID possible.

Anyone with information can call the Police Department at 910-671-3845.
