LUMBERTON — The National Pan Hellenic Council of Lumberton and Democracy North Carolina are sponsoring a volunteer political training session on Oct. 13.

The session will be held at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, which is located at 504 W. Second Street in Lumberton. Trained poll monitors will adopt a precinct for the Nov. 8 General Election, working one- to three-hour shifts at the precinct to ensure that all voters in line by 7:30 p.m. are allowed to vote.
