LUMBERTON — U.S. 74 near the Robeson-Columbus county line has reopened after being closed by floodwater from Hurricane Matthew.

A section of the highway at the county line has been put into a two-lane, two-way pattern while repairs to the roadway are continuing, according to the Department of Transportation. A second section of U.S. 74 has a right lane closure near N.C. 130 in Robeson County.

Dozens of secondary roads remain closed in Robeson County because of flooding, road washouts and damage to bridges caused by Hurricane Matthew.

For an up-to-date list of road closures, motorists should visit tims.ncdot.gov/tims/ or dial 511.

As of Monday, all northbound lanes of Interstate 95 had reopened in North Carolina. There are two lane closures on the southbound side, including at Exit 25 in Robeson, although the interstate is open through the county.
