LUMBERTON — People looking to donate supplies in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew are being asked to consider giving items that students need for school, such as notebooks, clear book bag, pens, pencils, etc.
A lot of students lost those items to flooding, and will need them when they return to class. School has not been in session for the Public Schools of Robeson County since Oct. 7, and it’s unclear when classes will resume, but they won’t this week.
Donations should be taken to 2300 N. Cedar St. in Lumberton, which has just opened as a collection site. It will be a distribution site as soon as there is sufficient inventory.
