LUMBERTON — Volunteers with NECHAMA Jewish Response to Disaster are in need of a place to stay in the Lumberton area.

The national nonprofit is here providing flood recovery services free of charge, including debris removal, basement pumping and chainsaw work. The organization has a few volunteers here already and several projects lined up, but can’t bring in a larger team unless they have a place to stay.

Volunteers provide their own cots and sleeping bags. They need floorspace that can sleep about 20 volunteers, access to showers and access to a kitchen.

If you can help them find lodging, email [email protected]. Learn more about the organization at nechama.org.
