LUMBERTON — A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 77-year-old Robeson man.

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons issued the alert for Bobby Dale Locklear at about 1 a.m. today. Silver Alerts are issued when the person missing is believed to suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairment.

Locklear was last seen on Rennert Road in Lumberton and is believed to be headed toward Hope Mills, the alert says.

He is described as American Indian, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 160 pounds. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black, short-sleeved shirt and black pants. He drives a burgundy 2001 Ford Ranger with North Carolina license plate PCR4395.
