For folks wanting to get into the Christmas spirit, Saturday offers a chance for festivities and shopping.

In Red Springs the annual Christmas Parade on Main Street parade will be held at 3 p.m. It will features all the regulars, marching bands, Sudan cars, and of course Santa Claus.

Shoppers wanting a local flair when gift-giving can visit the Artist Market Garden in Pembroke, where there will be artists who create jewelry, pottery, clothing, dolls, sculptures, paintings and other varieties of crafts. The market is held the second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s Entrepreneurship Incubator at 202 Main St.
