LUMBERTON — Gibson Cancer Center and the American Cancer Society will play host to a Bark for Life American Cancer Society fundraiser event on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Luther Britt Park’s Shelter A.

Participants are invited to bring their dogs, along with a leash, proof of vaccination and cleanup baggies. The event will include a hot dog sale, raffle, K-9 demonstration and contests for best trick, oldest/youngest dog, best costume, and dog/owner look-a-like.

Registrations can be made as a team or as an individual. Proceeds from registration fees, food sales, raffle ticket sales and other event activities will benefit the American Cancer Society.
