APEX (AP) — A company that makes robotics parts is expanding its operation in North Carolina, adding 275 jobs over the next four years.

The News & Observer of Raleigh reported that ATI Industrial Automation said Thursday it will expand its factory and headquarters in Apex.

CEO Robert Little said the company plans to spend $6 million on the expansion that will include factory and warehouse space. A new engineering and robotic lab is also planned.

The expansion would nearly double the workforce in Apex.

The company plans to add factory floor personnel, engineers, salespeople and administrative staff.

Pay will range from about $30,000 for hourly employees to $85,000 for engineers.
