ST. PAULS — Andrew Canady will hold a book signing and discussion of his book “Willis Duke Weatherford: Race, Religion, and Reform in the American South” on Sunday at the Annie Hubbard Public Library in St. Pauls from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

A native of Parkton, Canady graduated from St. Pauls High School and attended Wake Forest University, where he double majored in History and Religion. After his undergraduate studies, he taught North Carolina history in Walnut Cove for two years and then went to Houston, Texas, for graduate school at Rice University, where he earned his master’s and Ph.D. in History.

Canady is an assistant professor of History at Averett University in Danville, Va.

The library is located at 221 W. Broad St.
