LUMBERTON — Angela Jones, a human resource director for Robeson County, recently received a $400 scholarship from the Local Government Federal Credit Union.

The money that must be used on a class at The University of North Carolina’s School of Government. She says that she will be taking the Introduction to Public Employment Law course at UNC.

“The credit union is proud to partner with the School of Government to offer these scholarships to North Carolina’s local government employees,” said Maurice Smith, president of the Local Government Federal Credit Union. “As a result, these LGFCU members are able to strengthen their skills and enhance their job performance, thereby better serving their communities.”
