LUMBERTON — After nearly two months of waiting, Lumberton got its Fourth of July fireworks on Saturday night.

Several hundred people filled Alton G. Brooks Stadium, while countless others took in the half-hour show from the parking lots and neighborhoods around Lumberton High School.

The night included music by Ethan Hanson and a demonstration by the All Veteran Parachute Jump Team. Children at the stadium had the chance to play in inflatables, get their faces painted and play games on the stadium’s field.

The show had been postponed from its July 3 date due to bad weather and briefly cancelled.
