To the Editor,

We think the Rabies Clinic which was held in late August helped out a lot of people and pets. With all six veterinary hospitals — 11 veterinarians — stationed at all 32 fire departments in Robeson County, we all did 1,785 rabies vaccines.

We couldn’t have done it without help from our office staff, their families, all the local veterinarians, all the fire departments, their staff, social media, and most of all you the pet owners. We still rely on word of mouth but now social media plays a very big role in spreading the word about the rabies clinic. Social media such as newspapers, radio stations and the Internet are all a great way to spread the word about what is going on in our community.

Again, I would like to thank everyone that was involved in the Rabies Clinic effort.

Dr. David E. Brooks
