FAYETTEVILLE — Soft rock staple Kenny Loggins will perform at the Crown Center in Fayetteville on Tuesday.
The 66-year-old singer songwriter is perhaps best known for a string of hit contributions to movie soundtracks in the 1980s, including “Danger Zone” from the 1986 film “Top Gun” and the title track from 1984’s “Footloose.”
Before pursuing a solo career, Loggins was part of the popular 1970s folk rock duo Loggins and Messina, along with former Poco guitarist Jim Messina.
In 1980, the Doobie Brothers’ cover of “What a Fool Believes,” originally penned by Loggins and Michael McDonald, received a Grammy Award for Song of the Year.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets range from $35 to $65. For seating availability and other information, call 910-438-4100 or visit www.atthecrown.com.
