RALEIGH — Local residents who live in the western part of Robeson County will have another option on where to get their vehicle registration renewed with the opening today of a new Laurinburg license plate agency.
James C. “Colon” McLean Jr., a private contractor, will operate the agency at 508 E. Church St. The previous license plate agency closed in March.
The office will be open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Its phone number is 910-361-4177.
The agency offers vehicle registration services and title transactions, as well as vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags and duplicate registrations. The state Department of Motor Vehicles operates about 120 license plate agencies across North Carolina, including one in Lumberton at 3467 Lackey St.
Vehicle registration can also be done online.
