LUMBERTON — A woman say she has not heard from her 26-year-old daughter for at least two weeks, according to Maj. Anthony Thompson, chief of detectives for the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
Mary Jeane Ridenour, whose last known address is 180 Odum Road in Lumberton, left her home to go stay with an unidentified man she met over the Internet, Ridenour’s mother, Elizabeth Wilson, told sheriff’s deputies.
Wilson called the Sheriff’s Office from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Saturday to report her daughter missing, saying she had last spoken with Ridenour “around Christmastime,” according to Thompson. It was not clear whether Wilson spoke to Ridenour over the phone or in person.
Ridenour is a white female, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing 250 pounds. She has red hair, blue eyes and fair skin. The Sheriff’s Office did not have a photo of Ridenour or a description of the man who was reportedly with her.
Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Office at 910-671-3100.
