LUMBERTON — A Lumberton man has been arrested four months after intentionally hitting his older brother with his car in a dispute over rent money, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

Glenn Cameron Ivey, 46, was charged Tuesday with assault inflicting serious injury for hitting his 56-year-old brother with his car on April 1.

Maj. Anthony Thompson, chief of detectives for the Sheriff’s Office, said an incident report contained no information on the extent of Horace Ivey’s injuries.

Thompson said a witness told deputies Glenn Ivey was upset he did not get all of the rent money owed to him and left his Regan Church Road home “angry and drunk” before striking his brother.

Thompson said he was unsure if Glenn Ivey had been jailed, or if he posted bond.
