LUMBERTON — A 28-year-old Lumberton man was recently charged with possession of a firearm by a felon as well as possession of cocaine.
Police Capt. Terry Parker said in a statement that James Spencer Bell, whose last known address was the 800 block of Lovette Road, was arrested Aug. 22 by city drug enforcement officers as well as agents with the federal bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Parker said Spencer had 21 grams of cocaine on him when he was arrested.
He was taken into custody by federal agents.
