Phillips — Gibson

Kathleen Ann Phillips and John Carr Gibson were united in marriage at 5 p.m. on Sept. 28 at the First United Methodist Church in Morehead City. The Rev. Michael Frese officiated the wedding.


The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Robert Phillips of Wilson. She graduated from Hunt High School and East Carolina University. She is employed by the Foundation of Wilson Medical Center.


The groom is the son Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Carr Gibson of Lumberton. He graduated from Flora Macdonald Academy and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is employed by BB&T in Wilson.


The matron of honor was Kimberly Phillips Ellis. The bridesmaids were Mandria Jen Beale, Barbara Dell Carter, Megan Nemechek Inskeep and Jill Devinney Mullis. The flower girl was Isabella Jen Beale.


The best man was Thomas Carr Gibson. The groomsmen were Daniel Scott Ellis, Thomas Jefford Gibson, Jeremy Scott Strickland, Jonathan Craig Strickland and Daniel Claybourn Walters.The ring bearers were Colin Warren Kitts, Corbin Smith Kitts, Gordon Duncan Parker and Jaxon Craig Strickland.


The ushers were Ryan Nicholson Beck, Walter Fletcher Pierce and Joshua Lenough Walters.


A reception was hosted by the parents of the bride at the Coral Bay Club in Atlantic Beach.


The couple enjoyed a honeymoon to Antigua.


They will reside in Wilson.


Oxendine — Tubbs

Brittany Ann Oxendine and Donald Phillip Tubbs were united in marriage on Oct. 27. Pastor Howard Jacobs officiated the wedding.


The bride is the daughter of Roger and Bobbie Oxendine of Rowland. She is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and is employed by the Public Schools of Robeson County.


The groom is the son of Donald and Angela Tubbs and Lisa Hunt, all of Lumberton. He graduated from Purnell Swett High School and served in the United Staes Army. He is employed by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.


The ceremony and reception took place at the home of Lennis Watts in Parkton.


The music for the ceremony was provided by Johnny Orr and Alexis Locklear.


They will reside in Fairmont.
