To the Editor,

The purpose of this letter is to make a clarification to a story that was published in The Robesonian on Saturday that was titled “$100,000 in fake goods seized.”

I am the owner of the Lumberton Indoor Flea Market, which is located at 612 E. Second St. In the article that was published on Saturday, the names of three people charged with counterfeiting crimes were listed and they were associated with the Lumberton Flea Market, which is located on West Fifth Street.

I want people who might confuse the two to know that my business is not linked in anyway to the Lumberton Flea Market. My worry is people in town would be confused because of the similarities in the names of the businesses.

We pride ourselves on running a business as a good corporate citizen and one that contributes to the local community. We look at ourselves as a place where local vendors sell their wares and local people can find a bargain.
