LUMBERTON — Two Lumberton men are being held in the Robeson County jail after firing stolen semi-automatic handguns in a city neighborhood, according to Lumberton police Lt. Johnny Coleman.
Qualik Tisdale, 20, of 110 Olan Drive, and Daniel Earl Johnson, 23, of 1602 Robinson St., are each charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by felon, resisting a public officer, carrying a concealed weapon, and discharging a firearm inside the city limits.
Tisdale, who is also charged with trespassing, is being held under a $31,500 bond. Johnson’s bond was set at $46,000. He is also charged with assault by pointing gun at a law enforcement officer.
Coleman said someone called the Lumberton Police Department on Monday and reported shots being fired near 203 Spruce St. When officers arrived, they saw Tisdale and Johnson running out of the back door and chased them, Coleman said. The two men were carrying four semi-automatic handguns between them, two of which had been stolen, he said.
According to Coleman, Tisdale is currently on probation and has previous convictions for discharging a weapon into an occupied property and possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine.
Johnson has a previous conviction for robbery with a dangerous weapon and was paroled in 2012, according to Coleman. He was wanted by the state Department of Corrections for parole violations, Coleman said.

GOD IS THE TRUE JUDGE AND HE CAN SEE ALL!
If you are in law enforcement you probably should find another line of work.
A person who breaks the law and then points a gun at uniformed police officers when they answer the call certainly sound capable of pulling the trigger. I don't want our officers to gamble with their lives and I don't think that their families do either.
At what point does it become a threat? I mean the police were called because these guys were shooting within the city limits in a neighborhood!
The gun was pointed at an officer. I don't think that any officer should have to wait and play a guessing game with his life when he probably has family depending on him to come home from work safe!
I hate to hear about shootings and the loss of life but these guys knew what they were doing and they were a terror to the public!
You sound like you've got head on straight. It's too bad you couldn't have more influence over him, and for the sake of everybody, I do hope the scales fall off his eyes in prison.
I am so very sick of seeing you g people, and yes I will go ahead and say it- young black males, who seem to go straight from an adorable toddler to gangsta in one step. The black families have g e to hell, the Indian families have gone to hell, and the same with the white families now. And who gets the blame? The liberals that will shove a check, snap card, free housing, etc out to you because there ain't no babydaddie in sight. I'm tired of being hourndaddie. I ain't your daddie! All you single women out there that have a 24 hour open sign hanging around your neck. You need to realize that I'd you want a baby, then you need to find a man who can pay for the baby, not just one that can make a baby!
Guns and drugs seem to be an obsession with some.
Our citizens and officers shouldn't have to wait until soneone gets hurt or killed before people like this are dealt with.
Why in the world is Johnson still breathing if he pointed a gun at a law enforcement officer?
I would have blown him away with a clear conscience!
So you would have waited to see if he was going to pull the trigger?
I think that most people would have felt like they were in harms way if a gun was pointed at them!
I applaud the officer(s) for doing a great job but I still have a hard time understanding the restraint that was obviously used in this case. I just read the story the way it was printed!
By the way, I am confident because I have experienced self preservation kicking in before!
You can practice tolerance while someone else is pointing a gun at you if you want but don't think for a minute that you represent the norm!
The American Heritage College Dictionary (third edition)
conscience 1a. The awareness of a moral or ethical aspect to one's conduct together with the urge to prefer right over wrong.
Not only can I spell the word but I also know how to use it in the proper context!
I paid attention in school!
It's scary when people don't have a clue!
By the way, concious is not a word unless you just invented it!
Guess a consonant and don't waste your money buying a vowel!
