Staff report

LUMBERTON — Dr. Kailash Chandwani, an interventional pain physician, has joined the medical staff of Southeastern Health and will provide care at Southeastern Pain Management Clinic.

Chandwani earned his medical degree from Sindh Medical College in Pakistan in 2001. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Ark., in 2009, and completed a fellowship in interventional pain management at University Hospitals, Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2010. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Chandwani has expertise in the conservative management of various pain conditions affecting spine and other musculoskeletal structures, and in the utilization of image guidance — ultrasound or fluoroscope — for interventional pain management procedures.

“I chose to practice with Southeastern Health in order to contribute to the endless possibilities of expansion and because this was an excellent opportunity to grow my professional skills,” Chandwani said. “I hope to incorporate a multi-modal treatment plan in collaboration with a team of health care professionals to achieve desired outcomes of meaningful pain reduction and improved patient functioning better than any single treatment.”

He will be moving from Pittsburgh to Lumberton soon with his wife, Amerta.

Southeastern Pain Management Clinic is located at 4308 Ludgate S. To schedule an appointment or for information, call 910-671-9298.
