Armed robbery

LUMBERTON — Scott Carter, of Blunt Street, reported on Thursday that two gunmen forced their way into his home and robbed him, according to Lumberton police’s Sgt. Harold Jackson.

Jackson said the two men knocked on Carter’s door at about 10:45 p.m. and asked for a man who didn’t live there and Carter tried to shut the door, but they forced their way into the home.

The two men then tied up Carter, holding him at gunpoint and stole an unknown amount of cash, according to Jackson.

Lumberton police are asking anyone with information to call the Lumberton Police Department at 910-671-3845. Callers can remain anonymous.

Break-ins

LUMBERTON — Michael C. Chastain, of Millbrook, Ala., reported on Thursday that someone broke into his 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck while it was parked at Quality Inn at 3070 Roberts Ave., and stole a $350 jacket, a $350 video game system, 15 video games valued at $750, two CDs valued at $40, an $800 watch, a $400 necklace, and two rings valued at $300, according to a police report. Damage to a window was estimated at $500.

LUMBERTON — Marvin and Linda Paul, of Bertie Road, Lumberton, reported on Thursday that someone broke into their storage building on Meadow Road, and stole a $100 coffee table and copper valued at $1,000, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Josh Wood, of New Concord, Ohio, reported on Thursday that someone broke into his 2006 Dodge Ram while it was parked at Granada Terrace Apartments at 3634 Fayetteville Road, and stole a $500 GPS, an $80 satellite radio, $20 cash, food valued at $10, and a $5 pack of cigarettes, according to a police report. Damage to a window was estimated at $500.

LUMBERTON — Brittani Bright, of Prospect Road, Pembroke, reported on Thursday that someone broke into her 2005 Suzuki Forenza while it was parked at 4701 Fayetteville Road, and stole two cellphones valued at $160, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Terrence McPhail, of Strata Solar in Chapel Hill, reported on Thursday that someone broke into the business’ 2012 Ford F-150 while it was parked at Ramada Inn at 3608 Kahn Drive, and stole a $200 GPS and three gift cards valued at $30, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Hugh Brown, of Ranaldi Street, Fayetteville, reported on Thursday that someone broke into his 2007 Chevrolet Suburban while it was parked at Days Inn at 3030 Roberts Ave., causing $300 damage to a window, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Christopher D. Sudduth, of Edgewater, Md., reported on Thursday that someone broke into his 2006 Ford van while it was parked at Days Inn at 3030 Roberts Ave., and stole $10 cash, according to a police report. Damage to a window was estimated at $250.

LUMBERTON — Jesus Soriano, of Wells, Nev., reported on Thursday that someone broke into his 1998 Buick LeSabre while it was parked at Ramada Inn at 3608 Kahn Drive, causing $250 damage to a window, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Eric Gibson, of Heaters, W.Va., and Carl Williams, of Sutton, W.Va., reported on Thursday that someone broke into Gibson’s 2012 Chevrolet Cruze while it was parked at Ramada Inn at 3608 Kahn Drive, and stole a $70 radar detector and a $100 coat, according to a police report. Damage to a window was estimated at $250.

Thefts

LUMBERTON — Matt McIntyre, of Lumberton Honda at 301 Windergreen Drive, reported on Thursday that someone stole a $130 camera from the business, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Kanesha Duggins, of Verizon at 5127 Fayetteville Road, reported on Thursday that someone stole a $320 tablet computer from the business, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Gary Thomas, of East Sixth Street, reported on Thursday that someone stole two earrings from his home valued at $5,000 while he was having a party, according to a police report.

WELL I GUESS ROBESON COUNTY IS ON A BUDGET AGAIN. SO THEREFORE THE ONES THAT ARE DOING THE CRIME; KNOWS THAT "THEIR CHANCES FOR BEING CAUGHT ARE SLIM TO NONE".
