Mr. and Mrs. Glen and Rachel Hunt of Fairmont, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Marie Hunt to Jonathan Allen Hunt of Rowland, the son of the late Wanda Hunt of Rowland and Michael Lewis of Summerville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late C.W. and Nona Hunt of Proctorville, and Crissie Locklear of Fairmont. She attended Fairmont High School and currently attends Bladen Community College. She works for McNeill Jewelers.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Hollis and Gertrude Hunt of Rowland and Epsie Lewis of Fairmont. He attended South Robeson High School and Southeastern Community College. He works for N.C. Department of Public Safety.

The wedding will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 27 at Eastside Independent Baptist Church in Lumberton.

Ward-Johnson

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ward of Lumberton announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Burns Ward, to Jeffery Floyd Johnson, Jr., the son of Dawn M. Desilets of King, and Jeffery F. Johnson of Greensboro.

Ward is the granddaughter of Carlene K. Burns and the late John R. Burns, and Martha and Clarence Ward, Jr., all of Lumberton.

Johnson is the grandson of the late George and Ruby Desilets of Texas, and Floyd and Judy Johnson of Kernersville, and the late Myra Ayers of Nichols, S.C.

The wedding will be held in October at Barker United Methodist Church in Lumberton.

Hunt-Steen

Terry and Karen Jones of Lumberton announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Kay Hunt to Ellard Steen III, son of Ellard and Shirley Steen, of Rowland. Hunt is also the daughter of Randy Hunt, of Fairmont.

Hunt is the granddaughter of James and Myrtle Locklear of Pembroke, and the late Alfred McMurray Hunt, and Letha Hunt, of Fairmont. She attended Purnell Swett High School and The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Steen is the grandson of the late Ellard Steen, the late Edith Steen of Rowland, and the late Hugh and the late Annie Neal Boyle of Piscataway, N.J. He attended Purnell Swett and Fayetteville State University.

The wedding will be held Sept. 29 at the Cypress Bend Vineyard and Winery.
