Bobby Bodiford, a member of the Carolina Shaggers, is at right. The tournament benefited Hospice of Lumberton, and the winning team donated the $300 prize to Hospice.

The fifth annual Fairmont Farmers Festival Golf Tournament will be held Friday at Fairmont Golf Club, with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

The entry fee is $50 per player and includes cart and green fees, mulligan, red tee, range balls, prizes, lunch and dinner. For more information, call James Honeycutt at Fairmont Golf Club at 910-628-9931, or Kelly Johnson, president of Fairmont Chamber of Commerce, at 910-770-1967.

Pinecrest CC

The Pembroke Recreation Department Golf Tournament will be held Nov. 26 at Pinecrest Country Club, with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The entry fee is $60 per player and includes lunch.

The tournament format is four-person captain’s choice. All proceeds of the tournament will support the Pembroke Recreation Department in its mission to provide support to the athletes, activities and programs at the Pembroke Recreation Complex.

Two-ball Texas Scramble winners from Oct. 3 were Stan Winberry, Tom Jones, Mel Britt and Michael Graham.

Two-ball Texas Scramble winners from Oct. 5 were John Lahey, Richard Lowery and Charlie Bruce.

Donald Barnes and Andy Warner won the championship flight of the Senior Shootout on Tuesday, Tim Parnell and Charles Hickman won the first flight and Don Showman and Larry Mitchell won the second flight. Lionel Warwick, Wilkie Lowry, Bobby Benton, Richard Lowery and Gene Brumbles won special events.

Brumbles made an eagle recently on No. 15, a 340-yard par-4, when he holed out a pitching wedge. He was playing with Lawrence McDuffie, Dave Batchelder and Sam Bailey.

The next Senior Shootout is Tuesday, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
