LUMBERTON — The town of Fairmont will hold its 26th annual Fairmont Farmers Festival on Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to midnight
There will be a parade, live entertainment, wrestling, arts and crafts and an antique car show in downtown Fairmont on Oct. 20, and that day the Carolina Breakers will perform starting at 9 p.m. at the Robeson County Fairgrounds. Tickets for the dance are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
The Fairmont Farmers Festival Pageant will be held Oct. 13.

LUMBERTON — A benefit concert featuring Dark Water Rising and the Carolina Breakers will be held for Officer Jeremiah Goodson at Club Kalipzo on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. The officer was shot and killed while off-duty on July 17.
Proceeds from tickets, which are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, will go to Officer Goodson’s wife and children.

LUMBERTON — The Carolina Civic Center Historic Theatre will hold auditions for “A Robeson County Christmas” original production at 1 p.m. Sept. 29 at the theater at 315 N. Chestnut St.
Participants are asked to prepare a Christmas song and bring their own accompaniment tracks. There are parts available for a featured female gospel vocalist, two female lead singer and dancers, two male lead singer and dancers, three female dancers who sing and three male dancers who sing.
