Jerry Locklear, 59, of Maxton, passed away on Sept. 30, 2012.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Lumber River Independent Holiness Church, the Rev. Billy Clark officiating. Burial following in the church cemetery.

Jerry was born Sept. 17, 1953, in Robeson County, son of the late Dock Locklear and Mattie Belle Bullard Locklear. He worked in construction and auto mechanics. Jerry also enjoyed his time hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his two daughters, Stacey Cummings of Pembroke and Amber Cummings of Laurinburg; five brothers, Kirmet Locklear and wife Sylvia, Leon Locklear, Dock Locklear Jr., Winford Locklear, all of Maxton, Ronald Locklear of Laurinburg; six sisters, Girlie Biller, Betsy Locklear, Mary Rose Sanderson, all of Maxton, Vera Weber of Laurinburg, and Savannah Clark and Peggy Locklear, both of Maxton; four grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Lumber River Independent Holiness Church.

Services entrusted to Richard Boles Funeral Service.
