LUMBERTON —Franny’s Friends will hold a pet adoption Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Frank’s Furniture at 2400 Fayetteville Road. Donations of dog and cat food and other pet-related items would be appreciated. With winter coming, old blankets are especially needed.

GOP women

meet Oct. 25

LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Republican Women’s Club will hold its regular meeting on Oct. 25 at the Republican headquarters at 1903 Pine St. at 7 p.m.

The speakers will include Commissioner David Edge and attorney Eric West, who will speak about voter fraud. Sandwiches and drinks will be served.

The club is seeking volunteers to help with its effort to get people to vote. For information, call 910-739-3152.

Black Caucus

meets Saturday

LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Black Caucus will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Weed & Seed building on Martin Luther King Drive.

Issues to be discussed include the upcoming Nov. 6 General Election.
