LUMBERTON — A Lumberton woman has been arrested and charged with assaulting a 63-year-old neighbor on Sunday, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

Natasha Ann Locklear, 34, of 2492 Oak Grove Church Road, is charged with assault inflicting serious injury in the attack on Shelby Locklear, of 2468 Oak Grove Church Road. Locklear suffered head injuries and was taken to Southeastern Regional Medical Center and was later transferred to Duke University Medical Center, sheriff’s Maj. Howard Branch said.

It is a shame and disgrace that our society has come to beating the elderly and infants. I am a firm believer that Hell has a special place for people like this woman and for anyone else that abuses the elderly and children, Shame on you Natasha that lady is someone's mother and grandmother and I can say with a clear mind that you sure better be glad it wasn't either one of mine, cause they may just have been reading about me beating you and you being taken to the hospital!! You are a disgrace to our community!

Let's pray this elderly lady doesn't die.If I was on a jury trial of this ugly crazy thing ,I probably hope for the death sentence. We have to take care of our elderly people, not beat them up.I will pray for a safe recovery.

I keep writing about the horrible judges we have in this county. This is just another example. I wish the paper would print the names of judges or magistrates that assign sentences and bails. We deserve to know. PLEASE do not vote for Daniels, Carter, or Carmical if you care anything about justice. They are the worst. Ok, lests see if someone claims the Bison scum defender award for this thing. She looks like something from the Deliverance movie. Go get your concealed carry permit folks. You need it

Ranger SGT. That's what I've been saying for a long time that our judges and Lawyers are for the guilty not the victim. They make their money from the guilty. Just like Mr. Goodson(cop)that was just killed I blame our judges and lawyers for things like that. These judges, lawyers should have to look this man's family in the eye and say we killed your husband; they put our law enforcement in harms way over and over with the same convicts, beaters, robbers, killers. What's the purpose of victims showing up in court just for idiot lawyers, judges letting them go? They get out and commit another crime. Money, time, paper work, the court is defeating the purpose. The judges, lawyers have caused me to arm myself everyday because they failed me by letting the criminal out. Share#88(have we forgotten theirs a time to kill) Ecc. 3:3 We are housing criminals year after year on tax payers money to just let them out for a season then their back. I'm a angry victim because of Robeson Countys sorry judges, lawyers. The victim always gets punched twice. My case was in front of 4 different judges somes names have already been called. I went by the law protected myself on my property had proof of the women breaking the restraining order on video on my property threating me with a taser and I with a shot gun; she assaulted me in court with a water pitcher and if they had not pulled her down and handcuffed her when they did I would of busted her face. My back was to her when she threw it, she was arrested only pulled a few days in jail. Today she still lives behind me and this time she bothers me she will go away for a felony. If she even comes on my property again as much as she has threaten me I will protect myself with whatever keeps me safe.

Happy 236th
Thousands of people were dazzled by the fireworks display at the annual Lumberton Family Fourth celebration at the Lumberton High School football stadium on Tuesday. Many watched the display from parking lots and sidewalks around town and from their own front yards. Before the show, attendees were treated to a performance by the Carolina Breakers, and a stunt by the Army Rangers, who parachuted onto the football field.

A promise to fight abuse of power

The danger that is straight ahead
A hundred years ago, anyone who might have predicted in 1913 the monumental, man-made catastrophes that would occur in the rest of the 20th century would have been considered warped, if not completely mentally deranged. Who would have believed that the continent of Europe, which had not had a ...
