Trooper shot a traffic stop
DURHAM (AP) — A North Carolina Highway Patrol trooper is recovering after being shot during a traffic stop in Durham. Officers continued to search this morning for the person who did the shooting. Patrol Sgt. Maurice Devalle told The Herald-Sun of Durham that Trooper Mike Potts had surgery Monday night at Duke University Hospital. Devalle said the trooper was doing well, though his face is swollen. He was in fair condition early today. ...
