Gun found near Hatcher’s body
LUMBERTON — Police have recovered a handgun in the Lumber River near where a 65-year-old man’s body was found earlier this week.
According to police Capt. Terry Parker, the .38-caliber revolver belonged to an acquaintance of the dead man, Clyde Hatcher Jr., a former standout in three sports at Lumberton High School.
