WINSTON-SALEM (AP) — Winston-Salem State has added former Wake Forest defensive back Chip Vaughn to its coaching staff.
The school announced the addition of Vaughn on Friday through the NFL Players’ Association’s coaching internship program. He will coach safeties and help with special teams.
Vaughn helped the Demon Deacons win an unlikely Atlantic Coast Conference title in 2006.
He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2009 and spent parts of two seasons with Philadelphia, Indianapolis and Carolina.
