FAIRMONT — Fairmont’s volleyball team opened the Lady Tornadoes 2015 season with a home victory Monday, defeating West Bladen by a wide margin in three straight games to win the match.

Reva Locklear had 14 assists. Marsha clewis finished with 8 kills. Niya Dickes contributed 8 digs. Brianna McKnight posted 16 serving points.

Fairmont took the opening game from the Lady Knights 25-11, then won 25-15 and 25-13 for the 3-0 match victory.

The non-conference victory puts Fairmont’s record at 1-0. The match was also the first for West Bladen, which is now 0-1.
