A pair of schools from Robeson County are set to compete in the NCHSAA state volleyball playoffs on Wednesday, with Fairmont hosting and Red Springs hitting the road in the first round.

The NCHSAA announced seedings and pairings Tuesday, pitting the No. 5 Golden Tornadoes (15-3) against No. 12 Hertford County (8-8). The 15th-seeded Red Devils (7-12) will travel to No. 2 Farmville Central (17-4).

The state championships are scheduled for Nov. 5 at Reynolds Coliseum on the campus of N.C. State University in Raleigh.
