Crusade

The David Pait Evangelistic Association is planning a crusade to be held in the Lumberton High School auditorium March 10-12.

The crusade will begin each evening at 7. There will be special guests and performances nightly by a mass choir made up of members from area churches.

The ministry’s mission is to be an evangelistic outreach to people who do not know Christ Jesus as their personal Savior.

Special services

Words of Life Worship Center will host Yahweh’s School of the Prophets each Tuesday evening at 7:30. Apostle Moses Townsend of Fayetteville will lead these meetings.

There is no admission charge.

The worship center is at U.S. 301 South and Decker Road, St. Pauls.

McCormick Chapel AME Church will sponsor a Black and Gold Banquet Family In Unity service at 5 p.m. Saturday. The program will be in the church’s fellowship hall.

The church is at 215 Main St., Lumberton.

Youth

The S.T.O.R.M. Youth group meets every Wednesday evening at 7 at Covenant Worship Center on Linkhaw Road, Lumberton. Teens learn and perform drama, receive Biblical teaching, enjoy outings and develop unity.

All teens are invited to these meetings under the direction of Bob and Erica Schmidt.

Revivals

Oakton Baptist Church will have revival services today through Sunday.

The Rev. Bud Parrish, director of missions of the Robeson Baptist Association, will be the speaker.

Evening services today and Saturday begin at 7. The Sunday service will start at 10:45 a.m., and there will be another service at 4 p.m., with a two-hour concert featuring the blue grass music of Rising Tide and the music ministry of Lauren Miller.

Everyone is invited. Oakton Baptist is at 203 Oakton Church Road, Fairmont.

Victory Holiness Church will have revival services Sunday at 6:30 p.m. and Monday through Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The Rev. Norman Morris will be the speaker.

Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1476 Mt. Olive Church Road, Lumberton, will have revival services Sunday at 6:30 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday evenings at 7. The Revs. Michael Cummings and Charles Cummings will be the speakers.

Dr. M. Randall Jones will be the guest evangelist in a revival at Sand Hill Baptist Church. The services will be March 13 at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., and March 14-16 at 7 p.m.

Sand Hill is at 2726 Pope’s Crossing Road, Lumberton.

Morning Star Community Baptist Church will have revival services March 13-16. The Rev. Gerald Smith and Bishop Lesaundri Hunt will be the speakers.

The Sunday service will start at 6 p.m. and services Monday through Wednesday will be at 7:30 p.m.

Pastor Roosevelt Scott and the church family invite everyone. The church is at 702 Dunn Road, Lumberton.

Covenant Worship Center, 1270 Linkhaw Road, Lumberton, will have revival services March 20 at 6:30 p.m. and March 21-23 at 7 p.m.

The Rev. Jerry Smith, the church’s former pastor, will be the speaker.

West Saddletree Baptist Church will have revival services March 27 through April 1 at 7 p.m. The Revs. Johnny Locklear and Manny Mintac will be the speakers. The church is on Rennert Road.

Pastor appreciation

A pastor appreciation service will be Sunday at House of Mercy Holiness Church, Rowland. The service will begin at 10 a.m., and everyone is welcome.

The church is on U.S. 301 South.

Special events

The Generation of the Church family invites everyone to a special service this evening at 7:30 p.m. Bishop John Walker will be the speaker. The church is at 103 N. Grace St., Lumberton.

Nick Charles Love will preach his initial sermon today at 5 p.m. at Anointed Believers Ministries. The church is at 900 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Lumberton.

Music

The Missionaries of Cromartie Temple of Praise, 107 Lessane St., Lumberton, will present in concert MOM&D (Ministers of Music and Directors), on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Food ministry

Angelfood orders will be accepted Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. and Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Covenant Worship Center, 1270 Linkhaw Road, Lumberton.

This program offers high-quality fresh and frozen foods at half price, and it is available to everyone. Menus are available at the church or online at www.angelfoodministries.com.

Prophecy study

The Rev. Lewis Hatchell, who has studied prophecy for 50 years, will teach a class on the last Monday of every month at East Lumberton Church of God.

This is an open-forum class only from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Plate sales

Pleasant View Baptist Church, Fairmont, is having its steak-plate sale today from 3:30 to 8 p.m.

The meals include a ribeye steak, baked potato, salad, roll, dessert and tea or lemonade.

Plates are $11 each, and may be purchased by ticket or at the door. Everyone is invited.

Mt. Pelier Presbyterian Church is having a barbecue and chicken plate sale today. The sale will be until 6 p.m. The price for plates will be $6 each.

New Jerusalem Church, Red Springs, is having its annual plate sale today. Proceeds from the plate sale will go toward the church’s building fund.

Chicken and barbecue plates with all the fixings will be served for $6, and combination plates will be $7. Plates will include two side items, bread and cake.

Collard bowls will be available for $5 each. Chicken sandwiches will be sold for $3, and barbecue sandwiches will be $4.

Pastor Ronald N. Locklear and the New Jerusalem family appreciate the support of everyone.

The Pastor’s Relation Committee of Missionary Tabernacle Church, 127 Spearman St., Lumberton, will have a fish and chicken plate sale on Saturday.

The church is on Spearman Street, between Clawson’s Barber Shop and Kash and Karry Supermarket on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

The plate sale will start at 11 a.m., and sandwiches will also be on sale.

Anointed Believers Ministries will have a plate sale today and Saturday. The church is at 900 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, at the old Buck’s Supermarket location.

The plate sale will be until 7 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Stew beef and rice plates are $7, chicken, barbecue and fish plates are $6, and combination plates are $7. Chicken, fish and barbecue sandwiches will be on sale for $3 each. Side orders will include green beans, potato salad, baked beans and cole slaw.

Fellowship Holiness Church will have a plate sale on March 18 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Fried chicken and barbecue plates are $6, and combination plates are $7. There will be a choice of two sides, which include string beans, potato salad or baked beans, slaw bread and cake.

The church is at 504 Old Whiteville Road, Lumberton.

Fundraising

The youth ministry at Christian Fellowship Ministries of Rowland will sponsor a program on Sunday to raise money for a three-day trip in September to “The Holy Land Experience” in Orlando, Fla.

Sunday’s program will begin at 4 p.m., and special guests will be Ministers Anthony and Rosa “Lady G” Faison of 107.7 radio. Their program is aired at 7 a.m. each Sunday.

Christian Fellowship Ministries is at 304 Canal Street. Bishop Isabella Alford, pastor, and Elder Kenneth Smith, youth minister, invite everyone.

Relay for Life

Antioch Baptist Church will have a Drama Fest for Relay for Life on Saturday. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m., and will feature Voices of Faith and drama teams from Antioch, Tabernacle, Cherokee and Sycamore.

Hot dogs, sausage dogs, cake and sodas will be on sale beginning at 5 p.m.

The church is on Rozier Siding Road, St. Pauls.

Steward Day

The Turner Station AME Church family will celebrate Steward Day on March 13.

There will be a plate sale at the church that day, and the Rev. Graves and the congregation from Union AME Church, Lake View, S.C., will be the guests for a program at 4 that afternoon.

The annual Men vs. Women rally will also be on that day.

Turner Station is at 3155 Olivet Church Road, Marietta.

Missionaries

The Page-Gaddy Women’s Missionary Society of St. Paul AME Church will celebrate Missionary Annual Day on March 13 at11 a.m.

Crystal Clawson of Lumberton will be the speaker.

The church is at 3169 Oakdale Church Road, Fairmont.

Seniors

The Young At Heart group at Covenant Worship Center, 1270 Linkhaw Road, Lumberton, invites everyone to a meeting on March 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. This is a meeting for seniors 55 years old and up. Lunch will be provided.

Founders Day

Tabernacle Praise and Worship Center on Pine Log Road, Lumberton, will have a Founders Day celebration Sunday.

The worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m., and will feature Carla & Redemption. The Rev. Randy Simmons will deliver the message. A covered-dish dinner will be served after the service in the Soaring Eagle facility on Norment Road.

Everyone is invited.

Brunch

Turner Station AME Church will sponsor a salad brunch on March 19 at 10 a.m. Minister Carla Cox will be the speaker.
